Domaine Asmara Vineyard is located in the heart of the Heathcote Wine Region. The soils are Red Cambrian, which were formed more than 500 million years ago. The wines are 100% hand crafted, which includes hand pruning, hand picking and basket pressing.
Wine selected from best barriques. This wine has immense power and concentration. Suitable for long term cellaring (15 years +). Only produced in outstanding vintages.
 
Grape varieties: 100% Shiraz
 
Tasting: Crimson-purple; a potent bouquet of black fruits, spice, chocolate, and licorice is followed by a full-bodied palate loaded with dark fruits, the oak- while obvious- is balanced by the fruits and tannins. Very good cellaring potential.
 
Companion: Mainly red meat dishes likes steaks. But also duck and pasta dishes. Food should not be too spicy.
