Domaine Asmara – Infinity Shiraz

Domaine Asmara Vineyard is located in the heart of the Heathcote Wine Region. The soils are Red Cambrian, which was formed more than 500 million years ago. The wines are 100% hand crafted, which includes hand pruning, hand-picking and basket pressing.
This wine was yeast fermented in an open tank. After reaching 3 Baume’, approximately 20% of the wine was then barrel fermented. Maturation was in French barriques for 18 months. Only 3 of the very best barriques were selected to make this exceptional wine.
 
Grape varieties: 100% Shiraz
 
Tasting: Crimson-purple; a potent bouquet of black fruits, spice, chocolate and licorice is followed by a full-bodied palate loaded with dark fruits, the oak- while obvious- is balanced by the fruits and tannins. Excellent cellaring potential.

Companion: Mainly red meat dishes likes steaks. But also duck and pasta dishes. Food should not be too spicy.
